The following Red Hat Bug Fix Advisory has been published which may affect packages you have installed on your system.
RHBA-2018:2758 Generated network interfaces (docker0) will now persist zone assignments
Summary:
An updated firewalld-0.4.4.4-15.el7_5 package that fixes one bug is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Previously, assigning an interface that has been generated by NetworkManager, for example docker0, did not persist after a reboot or Docker restart. This was caused by the firewalld service attempting to persist these interfaces to NetworkManager’s configuration. However, every time generated interfaces were added again to NetworkManager they were considered a new, unique connection. Because of this, the firewalld service was never notified of the interfaces’ zone assignment.
With this update, the firewalld service now persists configuration for generated interfaces to its own configuration. It does not attempt to forward the request to NetworkManager. (BZ#1613189)
